Breckendridge, Colorado 2022 Christmas

Day 1-

โœˆ๏ธ Flight canceled as we were about to board - new booking 23rd at 10:50pm ๐Ÿคฏ scratched our heads for one second and rebooked ourselves for Vegas at 1 pm and picked up two 4x4 rams through NU Car Rentals (way cheaper than Denver, sketchy reviews but worked well for us) then drove 10 hrs to Breckenridge with one stop overnight for sleep at holiday in express in Green River, UT ( highly recommended for a comfy bed and free breakfast)

Day 2-

Woke up at 6:30 am ate quick breakfast at hotel and hit the road to our Breckenridge House ๐Ÿ -

Arrived around 12:30 pm and unloaded quickly and changed in warm clothes for snow mobiles at 1:30 pm with Good Times Adventures ( 10/10) all the kids loved it, saw the great divide at the top of the mountain & our guide was very informative!

Day 3-

Skiing โ›ท๏ธ booked our one day passes with Epic Pass - and rented our ski gear from Christy Sports and took the breck gondola up to lift 8 & had a blast! .. well most of us did! Lol next time some of us will do the ski school!

Day 4-

Christmas Day! Woke up to open stockings from Santa -yay! Then decided we wanted to hit the town for some shopping and then went troll hunting! After we got back to the house we grabbed the sleds that were in the garage and sled down the driveway then hit the hot tub!

Day 5 -

Booked snow tubing in keystone which is about 40min away from Breck then headed back to the house and dropped off are trucks and took the free shuttle into town and ate a late lunch at Giampietro Pizzeria - it was delicious!

Day 6-

Check out at 11 AM with a quick stop to Main St. for CRรŠPES ร€ LA CART BRECKENRIDGE(if you know, you know!) and last minute shopping. Then made our way to Denver, about a 2 hr drive, dropped off rental trucks and went to the airport about 5 hours before our flights! Wasted some time and let the kids do the free ice skating at Westin hotel that is connected to the airport. Nervously checked our flight every 10 min on the SW app for updates. Ate dinner at airport then headed to gate then flew home! Thank God!

Helpful Tips:

What to wear: Base Layer, then mid layer then waterproof outer shell with waterproof boots and gloves! My sister brought hot hands to put in our gloves and those came in handy big time!

Columbia gear is the best for staying warm : https://www.columbia.com/

What to pack: Moisturize, Moisturize MOISTURIZE!! Being from Houston humidity my skin was DRY so chapstick, SPF, Lotion and Facial Moisturizer was a blessing!

Take the First Day to adjust: with 10,500 elevation it can be hard to breath and altitude sickness can get you! Take the first day easy and drink plenty of liquids like gatorade!
